In recent years, the clean agricultural product processing industry of enterprises, cooperatives has created direct jobs for many workers, making a significant contribution to the restructuring of the agricultural sector and the development of the Hanoi. However, according to Mr. Ta Van Tuong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, most of the agro-processing enterprises have not been proactive in their supply of raw materials to ensure quantity and quality. Moreover, the linkage between stages in the production - processing - consumption value chain in the commodity industry is lack of tightness.
Statistics from the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development show that the agro-processing industry of the capital is still weak due to the majority of enterprises having manual and semi-automatic production technology processes, only about 10% have automatic closed production technology process, 20% have built and applied well the advanced program of quality management, food safety. The processing capacity for a number of commodity sectors is also weak, has not used its full capacity and cannot meet the demand, especially during the peak season of the vegetable, fruit and meat.
Surveyed in 200 enterprises in the city, only 12 enterprises have a closed production technology process that automatically input materials are output materials, the rest are mostly enterprises with manual and semi-automatic production processes. Besides, the policy mechanism is not attractive enough to attract investment in agricultural product processing, especially land, finance, credit, science and technology; Management qualifications and professional skills for the processing industry are low, the number of training accounts for a very low percentage.
Therefore, in order to find a sustainable exit for clean agricultural products, according to Mr. Tuong, localities need to actively change farming methods towards large-scale production in the form of chain link.
Currently, Hanoi has formed 135 food safety link chains from product production to consumption; built over 40 protected brands, such as Ba Vi hill chicken, Soc Son hill chicken, Son Tay chicken, Van Dinh duck, Dai Thanh longan, Boi Khe fragrant rice. |
