7,000 liters of toxic oil have been successfully treated in Ha Long bay
Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has successfully treated 7,000 liters of toxic oil which contained extremely toxic chemicals.


Oil contaminated with PCB – the toxicity just after Dioxin, was stored during 7 years at Cai Lan port, Ha long Bay. VEA, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment reported that they have successfully treated 7,000 liters of toxic oil.

A week ago, Holcim Cement Company carried these 7,000 liters of oil contaminated PCB from Cai Lan port to factory in Hon Giong district – Kien Giang province for treating process.

Then these toxic oils were treated by hazardous waste treatment system which converted these toxic oils into CO2 and water, unharmed agents to environment.

This is also advanced technology that has been using by various countries in the world. Toxic oil treatment process is under observation of Kien Giang Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
