The conference was organized by the Inspection of the Ministry of Science and Technology with the participation of the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Can Tho City People's Committee; representatives of leaders of the Departments of Science and Technology, Inspectors of the Departments of Science and Technology and 400 delegates who are officials, civil servants and employees of the Departments of Science and Technology across the country.

The conference will take place with the following contents: Summary of the inspection of the science and technology industry in 2022 and a preliminary of the inspection of the science and technology industry in the first 6 months of 2023; (ii) Exchange and discuss solutions to improve the capacity and efficiency of inspection of the science and technology sector; (iii) Disseminate new points of the Law on Inspection and its guiding documents; (iv) Provide professional guidance on IP inspection in accordance with the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Intellectual Property Law 2022;

 (v) Professional guidance on inspection of S&T tasks in accordance with relevant new laws; (vi) Answering questions about inspection operations, handling of violations, legal regulations in the field of science and technology, technology transfer, intellectual property, standards, metrology and quality and radiation and nuclear safety; (vii) Visit to the implementation of legal provisions in the fields of science and technology.

In particular, the Conference will have a dialogue on the inspection of science and technology between the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, leaders of a number of relevant units under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Departments of Science and Technology. The delegates will exchange, discuss, ask and answer questions directly related to the specialized inspection work of agencies, units and localities on inspection, handling of violations, legal regulations in the field of science and technology, technology transfer, intellectual property, standards, metrology and quality and radiation and nuclear safety.

The conference will be a basis to help improve the quality of activities of S&T inspection agencies and actively contribute to the management of ministries and branches, serving the country's socio-economic development.
