The red countries (including Vietnam) have network security vulnerability.
The study used data from various sources, such as Kaspersky, Global Security Index (ITU) and Global Strategies Index, to assess network security activities of 60 countries based on 7 criteria: Rate of infected mobile devices malicious software;
Number of infected computers; The number of financial attacks by malware; Attack rate via telnet (client-server protocol); The number of virtual money digger attacks; National preparation to prevent cyber attacks; The country has the fastest updated laws.
By evaluating and scoring the above criteria, Vietnam was 52.4 points, ranked 57th of 60 surveyed countries (the higher the score, the less secure), ranked 3rd after Algeria and Indonesia. According to the assessment, Vietnam 's weakest point is "National preparation for cyber attacks."
6 countries with the best network security include: Japan (8.8 points); France (10.6); Canada (11.2); Denmark (12); America (12.2).
In an effort to improve Vietnam's cybersecurity environment, in January 2019, Vietnam National Space Network Safety Monitoring Center (NCSC) signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate with the Kaspersky Lab global network security company.
In addition, to prevent risks, security experts insist on regular security checks of applications and network connections. At the same time, any service provided by third parties must be carefully considered. |
