Lang Son makes a breakthrough in building e-government
After a month of urgent implementation, all 1,030 eligible public services have been provided online by Lang Son province at level 4 on the Public Service Portal and the province's electronic one-stop information system. This is a breakthrough in building e-government in Lang Son province, a border province with many difficulties.

A representative from the Department of Information and Communications of Lang Son province said that 1,030 level 4 public services will be provided from June 8, including 838 provincial services, 149 district services and 43 services of Commune level. Notably, the implementation of the target of bringing 100% of eligible public services online at level 4 has been urgently implemented by Lang Son province in one month. Immediately after the Ministry of Information and Communications sent a written request to local leaders to implement solutions to provide 100% of eligible public services to level 4 online in 2021, Lang Son province had implementation plan from the beginning of May, and "finish" seven months ahead of schedule of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Up to now, Lang Son is the province with the fastest time to implement level 4 online public services in the country.

Standing Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Duong Xuan Huyen shared that achieving the above goal is a breakthrough for Lang Son province in the field of digital technology and public service provision. This result was achieved thanks to the drastic direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, districts and cities, the close coordination of Lang Son province with the Government Office and the Ministry of Information and Communications. Especially, the efforts of hundreds of experts, technicians and technology enterprises inside and outside the province.

In order to improve the efficiency of using online public services at level 4, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has asked heads of departments, departments, and chairmen of People's Committees of districts and cities to organize propaganda, dissemination and guidance of People and businesses submit online administrative documents so that individuals, organizations and businesses know and use the service thoroughly. The Provincial People's Committee also set targets to be achieved in 2021 such as: The percentage of administrative procedures files that can be handled online at level 4 reaches 30% or more; prioritize the review and selection of level 4 online public services to be included in the list of non-receiving direct applications; encourage financial institutions, banks to expand the provision of online payment accounts for people and businesses.

The rate of online public services at level 4 is one of the most basic indicators in the development of e-Government. By the end of 2020, ministries, branches and localities have achieved 31% of level 4 online public services, exceeding the target set in Resolution No. 17/NQ-CP dated March 7, 2019 of the Government. By the end of May, the country had three ministries and agencies, namely the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Health and Social Insurance of Vietnam, and the two provinces of Ben Tre and Tay Ninh, which had completed the transfer of 100% of public services are eligible to operate online to level 4. Lang Son is the third province in the country to fulfill this target early.
