The Ministry of Health mobilized a decrease of salt in the diet
The Ministry of Health has approved the National Plan of Action to reduce salt intake in the diet to prevent high blood pressure, stroke and other non-communicable diseases for the period of 2018-2025.


The plan aims to build a supportive environment, raise awareness, and change the behavior of every citizen to reduce salt intake in daily diets to prevent hypertension, stroke, cardiovascular disease and diabetes and other non-communicable diseases, contributing to the protection, care and improvement of people's health.

Specifically, the Ministry came up with the targets, such as reduce the average salt consumption of adults to less than 7 grams / person / day over 30% of business establishments, provide catering services to implement at least one measure reduction of salt in cooking, processing and food supply; More than 30% of all packaged food establishments have at least one reduced salt product and labeled with a published salt content, a high salt content indicator, and a health warning of high salt intake.
