Ho Chi Minh City Association of Enterprises in Industrial Parks (HBA), Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board (HEPZA) and Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) have just held a launching ceremony of development program of rooftop solar power and renewable energy in industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City for the period of 2020 - 2024.
Development program of rooftop solar power and renewable energy in export processing zones - industrial zones (EPZs - IPs) in Ho Chi Minh City for the period of 2020-2024 aims to develop 1,000 MWp of total capacity of rooftop solar power system with 1,000 enterprises in EPZs, IZs, high-tech zones (HTPs) in the Ho Chi Minh city response to participate.
On June 22, 2020, after nearly 4 months of construction in the context of the Covid 19 pandemic spreading around the world, Phuoc Ninh Solar Power Plant project is located in Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province by Ninh Thuan Energy Joint Stock Company (a member unit of T&T Group) as the investor has officially inaugurated. The total project investment is over 1,000 billion VND with a capacity of 45MW.
Vietnam has a lot of potential for developing energy, especially clean energy. Vietnamese and Swedish enterprises can learn from experiences and proceed to further cooperation in this field. In the current context, the participation of domestic and foreign private investors in power source development without government guarantee is a positive point in attracting investment in the electricity industry.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) and a number of partners have recently signed a memorandum of understanding on a joint venture to invest in the development of biomass and waste electricity projects.
