On August 1, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Institute of Science and Intellectual Property to organize a training session on "Improving the capacity to manage, implement, exploit information and use industrial property services” for more than 100 delegates from businesses, organizations and individuals in Can Tho city.

In his speech at the General Meeting of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) 2023, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that Vietnam will continue to cooperate with WIPO in the strategy of developing an inclusive, balanced and effective global intellectual property (IP) ecosystem, innovation for the benefit of the community.

On July 11, 2023, Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology established an advisory council to select organizations and individuals to carry out the intellectual property project "Building, exploiting and developing Con Son community tourism trademark."

From April 14 to 26, the NOIP will organize a series of events in response to World Intellectual Property Day 2023 (IP Day 2023), including workshops, trainings, and consultations on intellectual property, exhibitions and walking.

In the morning of December 31, the Ministers of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development signed a coordinated plan to support the protection of trademarks and geographical indications for potential export products of Vietnam in foreign countries, for the period of 2022 -2025.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision on allowing the use of the place "Nga Son" to register the collective trademark "Mai An Tiem Watermelon - Nga Son specialty."
