From March 1, 2021, the Research Institute for Development Communication (RED) in cooperation with the French Media Development Agency (CFI) organized a series of 6 scientific seminars for reporters and media officers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
This activity is within the framework of the project "Improving the content of scientific information in journalistic works" sponsored by the French Embassy in Vietnam and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The topics of the talks were based on the results of the survey of the scientific situation in current press works and the concerns of the Vietnamese media, including: Wastes, environment and health; Pollution of surface water; Agro-ecology; The circular economy of waste resources; Responding to climate change and natural disasters in the Mekong Delta; Environmental impact of urban transport.
After the program, the Organization Board said that it had published a "Scientific Press Handbook" and sent an electronic version to 5,000 journalists, reporters and media officers across the country.
Mrs. Tran Thi Khanh Hoa, Vice President of RED, believes that these activities are an opening step for reporters and experts to have the opportunity to connect with each other, thereby building more dynamic relationships in each area. |
