Release a rare and precious turtle in the Red Book to the sea

While drafting fishes to the coastal shore, a resident in Thua Thien Hue found a rare and precious turtle in the Vietnam Red Book caught in the net.

The Thua Thien Hue Department of Fisheries has cooperated with the authorities and people to release the rare and precious turtle to the marine environment.
Previously, in the morning of March 21, during drafting the coastal fishes, Mr. Nguyen Van Tu (in Dien Loc village, Phu Dien commune, Phu Vang district) discovered an individual turtle with a net.
This individual has a length of 57cm, width of 35cm, weight of 9.5kg, oval shape, flat, brown shell, brick veins, good condition.
After receiving the information, Thua Thien Hue Department of Fisheries coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu Dien Commune and Mr. Tu's family to bring this rare turtle to the marine environment. |
