Thousands of ancient paintings exposed in Mexico
Archaeologists have found 5,000 paintings in some caves of mountains, in the northeast of Mexico, and they claim that they are the works of the ancients.


The painting with primary colors like yellow, red, white, black, are in fairly good condition. They describe hunting activities and gathering people, the Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico states (INAH) announced.

Besides, the archaeologists also found the painting describes the religious festivals, astronomical phenomena, and other abstraction images. The researchers are analyzing chemical and radiation to determine the exact age of the paintings.

The ancient artworks exposed in 11 different locations caverns of mountain area in the city of Burgos, Tamaulipas state, on the border with the United States. Among them, they found more than 1,550 images at a location called "Cave horse".

AFP quoted archaeologist Martha Garcia Sanchez of Zacatecas University, said: "These paintings are important because they indicate the presence of Pre-Hispanic groups who lived in Bugos". Hispanic is ưhite group is Spain.

According to Sanchez, the paintings were painted by at least three groups of Pre-Hispanic tribes as Guajolotes, Iconoplos and Pintos. Before that, the archaeologists said the tribe has never lived in Bugos, Mexico.
