Recently, Vietnam's scientific and technological research capacity and quality have developed strongly. Contributing to this result, there is an important contribution from universities and research institutes in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the morning of July 11, 2024, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology met with an advisory council to determine scientific and technological tasks under the Can Tho City Intellectual Property Development Program until 2030. The council was presided by Dr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology.

In the morning of July 3, 2024, at the Saigon Innovation Hub Hall (273 Dien Bien Phu, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) took place a Workshop "Consulting experts and the community on elementary level capital trading floors for innovation start-up businesses", the program is organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the workshop, there were Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung - City Party Committee member, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology and representatives of departments and centers under the Department. Especially the presence of the City's startup ecosystem community includes representatives of investment funds, incubation centers, startup support, and startups in the City.

On July 10, 2024, in Kien Giang province, a scientific workshop "Application of science and technology in Kien Giang province - Current situation and solutions" took place by Kien Giang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade and Kien Giang Department of Science and Technology. The workshop attracted nearly 200 delegates who are experts and scientists from universities, research institutes, departments/industries of provinces/cities.

In the afternoon of July 11, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Department of Policy - General Department of Taxation and the Department of Planning - Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology to organize a Conference "Business’ Science and Technology Development Fund - Motivation to promote investment in science and technology."

On July 12, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology organized a scientific conference "Promoting the role of intellectuals to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period" and "Developing science and technology to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration". The workshop aimed to receive more opinions to complete the drafts of the Plan to implement the 2 Action Programs (No. 49-CTrHD/TU and No. 54-CTrHD/TU).

On July 6, 2024, in Quang Ngai, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai province coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province and Quang Ngai Provincial Youth Union to organize the opening and qualifying round of the second Quang Ngai Robot Innovation Contest, 2024.

On July 10, the final round of the 15th Creative Contest for Youths and Children - 2024 in Ha Tinh province (Contest) took place with the participation of 104 excellent solutions selected from the locality, unit.

In the morning of July 2, VUSTA organized a workshop to comment on amending and supplementing Circular No. 01/2022/TT-BTNMT of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment detailing the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection in response to climate change.

At the request of Dong Thap province Department of Science and Technology, in the morning of July 12, 2024, the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) coordinated with the Department to organize a training conference on greenhouse gas inventory for businesses in the province.
