Vietnam Army actively responded to climate change
In the morning of October 17, General Political Department, Vietnamese Army organized scientific workshop 'actively respond to climate change in the Army' units in the North.

Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan,  Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the General Political Department, presided the workshop.

The workshop received 80 presentations (in which 10 presentations were presented directly at the workshop) of military agencies, units.

With scientific approach methods, the discussion focused on clarifying the impact of climate change to the military operations, defense and proposed solutions to mitigate the impacts of climate change in the process of performing the military duties and defense in the whole agencies, units.

Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan concluded at the workshop: "Scientific workshop ‘actively respond to climate change in the army' not only is an opportunity to raise awareness and responsibility in the army about climate change, but also provides a scientific basis and exchanges experiences, the unit actively respond to climate change in order to improve the efficiency of military operations and national defense."

Activities is to ensure the life and health of the solders, properties, vehicle engineering, military buildings, improve the quality of training, to be ready to fight, produce and work.
