Ho Chi Minh city: Addition of 300 buses used the compressed natural gas (CNG)

On Nov. 4, Department of Transportation of HCM city said, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tin, Vice chairman of HCM city signed project for production of 300 CNG buses.
|
The project’s target is to replace gradually the degraded buses which are damaged and can't meet the technical requirements for public transportation vehicles.
Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO) is project implementation unit. The Project will be implemented during three years from 2013 to 2015, with total capital is about 163 billions VND.
According to the statistic of Transport Development and Strategy Institute, currently, there are 28 CNG buses working in Ho Chi Minh city.
Although the number of CNG buses is limited, but this kind of bus shows several strong features which are well-received by community such as safety, economic efficiency and an environmental friendly.product. |
