Application of IT in managing and promoting Can Tho City Museum

In the afternoon of March 19, 2019, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology organized a Science and Technology Council to accept the project "Application of IT in managing and promoting Can Tho City Museum." The study was co-implemented by Mrs Huynh Thi Tuyet Nhung and Mr. Duong The Dung.

The research carried out aims to build a museum management information system; digitization of artifacts and documents of museum objects; build website and process of promoting museum artifacts.
Through the implementation period, the project has built methods and set up a database of museum artifacts, with the number of 4,500 artifacts; building an artifact information management system in Can Tho City Museum; building website promoting Can Tho City Museum; organizing technology transfer training: building documents and organizing training, instructions for use and system administration; artifact information management system and Museum promotion website put into use and test operation at Can Tho City Museum.
After completion, information management system of the museum will contribute to characterize the application of information technology in the management of artifacts, professional work and the promotion of museum information according to the most specific, optimal and suitable characteristics of each locality. |
