Applying technical advances in building swiftlet house models and developing swiftlet farming in Soc Trang province
The project "Application of technical advances in building swiftlet house models and developing swiftlet farming in Soc Trang province" belongs to the Program to support the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances to promote socio-economic development in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas for the period of 2016-2025.


The project is assigned to Thien Van Tuong One Member Limited Liability Company to carry out, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest One Member State Company Limited is an organization supporting technology transfer for the project. After nearly 03 years of implementation, the unit in charge has received the transfer of 05 technological processes: installing equipment for the swiftlet house, luring the swiftlets from the wild to the swiftlet house to live and build nests; move and multiply flocks of swiftlets to new swiftlets; manage, care for and operate the model of stable growing swiftlet house; exploiting and harvesting bird's nests; Preservation and processing of bird's nest. At the same time, the project has successfully built 03 models of bird nest houses in Chau Thanh and Ke Sach districts.

With the results achieved, on July 21, 2023,  Soc Trang province Department of Science and Technology held a meeting of the Acceptance Council of the project implementation results and evaluated the satisfactory project results, requesting the project leader and research team to complete the dossier and send it to the Ministry of Science and Technology for acceptance according to regulations.
