To achieve the digital economy target of at least 20% by 2025 as set out by the National Strategy on developing the digital economy and digital society to 2025, with orientation to 2030, it is estimated that the digital economy must grow 3 - 4 times higher than GDP growth, which is about 20 - 25%/year. This is a difficult and challenging task that requires breakthrough solutions to achieve.

According to Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, the digital economy includes two components: ICT industry and digital economy sectors and fields. Experience shows that if we want to develop the digital economy, we must develop the digital economy in sectors and fields. The goal is that by 2030, the digital economy sector must account for at least 70% of the country's digital economy. For the digital economy to develop, it is necessary to have a dynamic and aggressive team of entrepreneurs and digital technology businesses.
