Attending the conference, there were leaders of the Department of Grassroots Information, leaders of the Department of Information and Communications and over 200 delegates working in state management of grassroots information, the district-level Department of Culture and Information, and the Culture, Sports - Communication Center at district level in 06 provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Bac Giang, Lang Son.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Pham Quang Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Information, affirmed that digital economic and digital society development is an economic activity that uses digital technology and digital data to increase labor productivity, dynamism, innovating business models and optimizing economic structure. The work of propagandizing the National Strategy on developing the digital economy and digital society to 2025, with a vision to 2030 is the responsibility of the entire Information and Communications industry in general and of grassroot communication workers in particular.

At the conference, delegates were informed and discussed by digital transformation experts and journalists on 04 topics, including: Position, role and importance of the National Strategy on Digital Economic Development, digital society in Vietnam; Skills in editing news and articles and reading radio broadcasts on district and commune level radio systems; Skills for editing news and articles on electronic information sites; Skills for editing news and articles on social networks and public electronic bulletin boards.

The training conference provided and equipped information officers at the grassroots level with basic knowledge about digital transformation, digital economy, digital society, and basic skills in online propaganda work, electronic information page/portal, district and commune level radio stations. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and sense of responsibility at all levels, sectors and all strata of people, creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of agencies, units, businesses and people participate in completing the goals in the National Strategy on digital economy and digital society. The conference is also an opportunity for grassroots information workers to exchange and learn from digital transformation experiences in local propaganda work.
