Recently in Nam Dinh city, the 1st National Forum for Digital Economy and Digital Society Development took place. The forum was co-chaired by the Ministry of Information and Communications with the Central Economic Commission and Nam Dinh provinve People's Committee organized the event to soon realize the set goals and mobilize initiatives to contribute to the development roadmap of digital economy and digital society in Vietnam.
The forum includes a series of activities: High-level forum session, 3 thematic seminars to provide in-depth information on Vietnam's strategic orientation for architectural and social development until 2030, vision to 2045, digital economy development trends associated with rural e-commerce development, popularization of digital signatures and digital financial technologies, digital data in the digital transformation process; International exhibition with the theme "Bringing digital platforms to households."
Within the framework of the Forum, at thematic session 3: Data and artificial intelligence serving the development of digital economy and digital society, Dr. Ha Minh Hiep, Acting Director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality shared a topic "Quality Measurement Standards serving the development of the digital economy and digital society".
According to Dr. Hiep, the role of Standards, Metrology and Quality for the digital economy and digital society helps determine specific, accurate functional requirements and ensure products, systems, processes or technologies operate synchronously and without interruption, conflict, and etc. Improve efficiency and convenience in commercial transactions, information transmission, and effective social connections; Bringing great economic benefits to agencies, organizations and people in the context of strongly developing digital transformation; Managing security risks and information security.
Digital transformation in the field of measurement in Vietnam aims to continue building a digital transformation project in the field of standards, metrology and quality in general and in the field of measurement in particular; Deploy e-government for level 4 administrative procedures in the field of measurement; Building a database to serve professional activities and state management of measurement; Research and apply electronic certificate testing in inspection, calibration, testing of measuring instruments and measurement standards.
Regarding conformity assessment in architecture, digital society focuses on using technological equipment to conduct remote (online) assessment in conformity assessment activities. This measure was applied very effectively during the recent Covid-19 pandemic; Build a database of assessment experts, testers, assessors, machinery and equipment, and training facilities; Building a digital platform (iSTAMEQ), sharing data; Use QR Code to look up information about conformity assessment results. |
