At the Conference, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong said that Hai Phong is the first locality in the country to pilot the total quality management system according to standard TCVN ISO 18091:2020 into its operations of local government. The results of pilot application in districts, wards and communes in the city will be considered and applied throughout the city, and at the same time serve as the basis for the Ministry of Science and Technology to research, report, Propose the Government to deploy nationwide.

In addition, Mr. Cuong acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Science and Technology and pilot application agencies in implementing new, difficult tasks that require a lot of time. To successfully implement the pilot application of the Quality Management System in Hai Phong and serve as a basis for implementation nationwide, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Department of Science and Technology and People's Committees of districts, wards and communes to continue to focus and coordinate closely to carry out the work as planned and complete it on time to report to the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Government.

With the results achieved in recent times, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran Quang Tuan also said that the Department of Science and Technology will continue to coordinate with the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, consulting units, and other departments, relevant sectors and units continue to implement the pilot application of Standard TCVN ISO 18091:2020 at People's Committees of districts, wards and communes in Hai Phong city to ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy, targets.
