On December 7, 2017, at the Embassy of Denmark in Hanoi, Mr. Mai Van Hue, Chairman of Tan Hoan Cau Corporation Joint Stock Company (THC) and Mr. Clive Turton, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Vestas. Duong (Vestas ASP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on conducting wind research in Huong Linh Commune in the presence of Mrs. Charlotte Laursen, Ambassador of Denmark in Vietnam.

In the framework of this cooperation, two sides agreed to jointly develop wind power farms in Huong Linh commune in Huong Hoa district of Quang Tri province, considered as "Research area."

According to the National Electricity Development Plan for the period of 2011-2020, the Government has set a target of bringing the total wind power capacity up to 800 MW by 2020 ~  2,000 MW in 2020 (Power Plan VII). in 2025 and ~ 6,000 MW in 2030. THC will cooperate with Vestas to research the potential of the research area and propose total potential capacity.
