The Government of Vietnam pledged to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 8% from the normal development scenario by 2030, and may reduce it further by 25% if it receives international support from multilateral cooperative organizations. Therefore, mitigating greenhouse gas emissions will focus on areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
