Dak Lắk accepted for 18 investors to set up the solar energy project

Currently, Dak Lak province has identified the location, adjusted the scale and increased the number of solar power projects to 18 projects, with a total area of 7,494 ha to submit to competent authorities for approval for economic and social development in the area. Most of these projects are located in poorer land, poor agricultural and forestry production in districts, such as Ea Sup, Buon Don, Krong Bong.

In the past, Dak Lak province had nearly 40 investors interested in researching, surveying, proposing projects with a total capacity of over 14,000MW. Based on the financial capacity and experiences of investors, Dak Lak province approved 18 investors to conduct survey and set up solar power projects.
Among them, there are four solar power projects, including a project of Xuan Thien Ninh Limited Company with a capacity of 2,000 MW, with a total investment capital of 2.2 billion USD; Project of Long Thanh Infrastructure Development and Investment Joint Stock Company with the capacity of 250MW, with total investment capital of 7,025 billion VND; Project of AES Group (USA) with capacity from 300-500MW, with total investment of 16,875 billion VND and project of TH True Milk Group.
Of the four projects, two projects have been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and two projects are being appraised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade before they are submitted to the Prime Minister for approval. |
