Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung said that with the demand for commercial electricity in the period of 2021-2025, it is expected to increase by 8.5% / year; Vietnam needs to add 5,000-6,000 MW of electricity each year during this period. Phuoc Ninh solar power project will contribute about 75 million kWh of electricity per year, showing the determination of the Government, ministries, Ninh Thuan province as well as T&T Group for the development of renewable energy. "The plant operation also marked an important milestone for T&T Group to invest in the energy sector" - Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung emphasized.

On the local side, Mr. Pham Van Hau - Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan People's Committee said that the inauguration of Phuoc Ninh Solar Power Plant is not only an important milestone for T&T Group and Ninh Thuan Energy Industrial Joint Stock Company, but also has positive contributions to socio-economic development, contributes to the power supply for economic development, and ensures national energy security.
