Violation of authors‘ copyright will be fined up to 500 million VND

Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh, chief inspector of Ministry of Culture, Sport and Travel said that the Government has issued Decree No 131 on regulating to fine administrative violations of authors’ copyright and related rights.

Accordingly, the maximum fine level in the field of authors’ copyright and related rights for the organization is 500 million VND, with 250 million VND for individuals.
For the act of self-correction, cropping works that make detrimental affects to the honor and reputation of the author will be fined from 3-5 million VND. If someone misrepresent works that make detrimental effects to the honor and reputation of the author will be fined at higher level from 5-10 million VND. |
