Branding “Dak Song Pepper”
In 2014, all logo registration procedures for Dak Nong pepper trademark will be finished.


It has been developing for 10 years so far, but Dak Song has become a largest area of growing pepper of Dak Nong province, both of area and yield.

Dak Song district (Dak Nong province), is a newly deployed pepper planting area in Central Highland recently. People embarked on the trademark of Dak Song pepper promotion aiming to strengthen the value of pepper in this region.

Pepper price was around 120,000-140,000 VND/kg, so many households has enriched thank to this crops. Dak Song is evaluated to be absolutely suitable with peppers, so it gives high yield, large grain and aromatic characteristics.

Hung’s family has more than 4 hectares of pepper which harvested over 15 tons of dried pepper each year, and he gained more than 1 billion VND. He always wonders why Dak Song pepper is not inferior to other pepper’s region, but the price is always lower.

Before the practical requirements of the pepper growers, in 2013, Dak Song established an association of sustainable pepper growers, this is a prior foundation to develop trademark. Expectedly, at the end of 2014, all procedures will be finished to prepare for logo registration.

With the area of 2,000 hectares, pepper growers produced approximately 6,000 tons of dried pepper every year, building a trademark for Dak Song pepper is very necessary. If building is successful, this will become the first agricultural trademark in Dak Nong province, and the second pepper trademark in Central Highland – the largest pepper growing area in the whole country.
