In the afternoon of July 18, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a meeting for mid-term evaluation of the city-level S&T task "Isolation, selection and production of phytase-producing microorganisms for application in animal husbandry". The Council is chaired by Mr. Truong Hoang Phuong, Deputy Director of Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology. The study is carried by Dr. Vo Van Song. Can Tho University is the implementing unit.

Overview of the meeting
The purpose of the study is to develop a process to produce phytase products for livestock production.
The contents of the project include: Isolation and selection of capable bacteria of producing phytase; Developing a process for culturing bacteria and producing phytase products; Testing phytase preparations in chicken and pig production.
Over time, the project has completed (content 1) isolating and selecting capable bacteria of producing phytase, identifying capable bacteria of producing phytase, and registering nucleotide sequences in the 16S region of the selected bacteria strain, analyzed the molecular weight of bacterial phytase enzyme. (Content 2) investigate the influence of the substrate ratio of rice bran and cornstarch on the ability of bacteria to synthesize phytase”, and etc.
Anticipate the work to be implemented in the near future: continue to perform the remaining tasks in content 2, and content 3.

Research teamThe council evaluated the project has implemented the contents and works according to the explanation and the implementation results are honest. However, the Council has made some suggestions for the research team to edit and complete the report at the request of council members. |
