ImMucin, the name of vaccines, is responsible for tracing MUC1 molecule, many molecules appear on the surface of 90% of cancer cell types, including breast cancer and prostate cancer, and then stimulating body immune system to destroy them.
Results Initial clinical studies on 10 patients with pancreatic cancer at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem showed that the immune system against cancer cells of seven in ten people is more active than before ImMucin injection. The level of disease has decreased so much.

"ImMucin can generate a strong immune response and specific in all patients after injection of 2 to 4 doses while the patient can use up to 12 doses," the Vaxil Biotheraputics company said.

Scientists believe that this therapy can be used to treat small tumors at an early stage rather than just preventative effects as conventional vaccines. In addition, ImMucin also capable to prevent the return and spread of disease in people who undergo treatment such as surgery.
"Although initial results bring great hope for medicine but scientists need to conduct more trials to demonstrate safety and effectiveness before being put into mass production," Dr Kat Arney, Director of Center for Cancer Research UK, said.
