Representatives of the Organization Board and accompanying units performed the opening ceremony of the Competition
Ho Chi Minh City Youth Informatics Contest is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Information and Communications, Department of Education and Training, Television Station and the City Informatics Association with companionship from Ocean Informatics Center. The contest aims to develop the movement of learning, creativity and application of information technology among the City's children; At the same time, discover, gather and promote young talents in information technology, contributing to building information technology human resources for the city and the country.
Contest participants are students studying at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels in Ho Chi Minh City. The contest includes 2 contents: Information technology knowledge and skills; Innovative information technology products.
The contest is organized through many rounds at all levels including: Grassroots contest organized by Thu Duc City Youth Union and 21 District Youth Unions actively coordinating with the Department of Education and Training and selecting participating teams in city level competition.
The online preliminary round of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Informatics Contest will take place from March 16, 2024 to April 14, 2024 with 04 rounds of competition: Round 1: from 08:00 on March 16, 2024 to 12:00 March 23, 2024; Roun 2: from 08:00 March 25, 2024 to 12:00 March 30, 2024; Round 3: from 08:00 on April 1, 2024 to 12:00 on April 6, 2024; Round 4: from 08:00 April 8, 2024 to 12:00 April 13, 2024.
To register for the exam, candidates visit the website at http://tinhoctre.khoahoctre.com.vn/ to register and take the exam with 30 multiple-choice questions in 25 minutes. The contestants with the best results will have the right to participate in the City level final round.
The content of the online preliminary exam includes: Table A (Elementary school students): candidates take the exam to learn knowledge about computers, operating systems, networks, internet, and etc. and Scratch programming language; Tables B, C (Middle high school and high school students): candidates take the test to learn general knowledge about computers, software, algorithms, logical thinking and programming language knowledge, such as Pascal; C/C++; Pyathon.
For free contestants, the Contest Organizing Committee will base on the online preliminary results to select up to 100 contestants with the best results (not part of the district team) of each contest group to participate in the final round for independent candidates. Candidates take the test in person at a location specified by the Organization Boar or online with supervision. Candidates use programming languages appropriate to each educational level to solve problems set by the Organization Board. |
