Da Nang launched a semiconductor IC human resource training program

On March 26, 2024, at the Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU), University of Da Nang took place event of the Semiconductor IC Human Resources Training Program in Da Nang City.

The program aims to focus on training source lecturers with the cooperation between Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology, Institute of Information Technology (Hanoi, National University), Research Center, IC design and artificial intelligence training in Da Nang (DSAC) and support from Synopsys Vietnam Company with genuine software copyright.
The first training course lasted 6 months, for 25 lecturers selected from universities in the city including: Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology, Polytechnic University, University of Technical Education (Da Nang University), Duy Tan University and FPT University.
The main goal of the course is to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills so they can build their own suitable teaching curriculum to practice, thereby imparting knowledge to their students, contributing to the training hight quality human resources for the city as well as the whole country in the field of IC design and developing the electronics and semiconductor IC industry.
According to Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, the city currently has about 250 businesses operating in the field of manufacturing, processing and assembling electronic components, with nearly 10,500 employees. However, the current number of semiconductor chip businesses and engineers is still modest compared to actual demand. Therefore, Da Nang is actively cooperating internationally and implementing solutions to improve human capacity, especially in the field of semiconductor circuit design. |
