Accordingly, Circular No. 02/2024/TT-BKHCN regulates the management of traceability of products and goods, including: State management of traceability of products and goods; regulate the system for tracing the origin of products and goods to ensure connection and data sharing; Manage and use product tracking codes, location tracking codes, and data carriers; Responsibilities of organizations and individuals performing traceability of products and goods; Responsibilities of organizations and individuals providing traceability services and solutions for products and goods and organizing and implementing traceability for products and goods.

Regarding the subjects of application, the Circular regulates organizations and individuals producing, doing business and providing services to trace the origin of products and goods; Organizations and individuals providing services and solutions related to traceability of products and goods; State management agencies and other organizations and individuals involved in implementing traceability of products and goods.

Specifically, organizations and individuals that trace the origin of products and goods use product tracing codes and location tracing codes to ensure compliance with National Standard TCVN 13274:2020 on Traceability - Instructions of the format instructions for codes used in tracing are announced by the Ministry of Science and Technology before being put into use.

Circular No. 02/2024/TT-BKHCN is considered an important step forward in improving management and ensuring the origin of products and goods in the market, contributing to protecting the rights of consumers and promoting sustainable development of the economy.
