Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai - Head of the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City, said that the food traceability system was built with three main goals: Any food product sold in the city has someone in charge of; All people have the right to participate in evaluating food products/services; Develop an information system to support quality control and food safety on the basis of preventing hazards.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai, there are more than 3,613 food service establishments in the city participating in food traceability, helping consumers and tourists easily choose products and evaluate quality. However, there are still some businesses that have not participated or do not clearly understand this application due to the mentality of keeping the origin of goods secret.

It was noted that at a number of cafes and restaurants in Hai Chau and Cam Le districts, many businesses do not know about the origin traceability application and are not very interested in the application for many subtle reasons. Second, do not want to publicize the origin of processed and sold food. There are also many units participating in the origin traceability system, but most are large stores and large-scale enterprises.

Da Nang City will guide people to register for food traceability to protect consumers, help businesses build brands and consumers control food origins.
