According to AFP, a jellyfish shaped like a giant teardrop that is discovered by a family in the state of Tasmania, South of Australia. It is discovered with size about 1, 5 m.
Lisa Gershwin, scientist from Industrial Research Organization and the Commonwealth Science said, this type of jellyfish has ever been found before, however there is no big jellyfish drifting coast, and it is recognized so far.
According to Lisa, this jellyfish species is known but it has not been classified and named. It is related to the lion's mane jellyfish, the largest jellyfish species in the world.
The CSIRO researchers said that they collected enough photographs and specimens to begin analyzing and classifying, naming new creature species. However, experts are still unclear information about food sources, habitat and reproduction way of this jellyfish. |
