Agricultural extension training on area codes for growing some key fruit trees in the Central Highlands

In Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak province, from August 29-31, 2023, the Standing Office of the National Agricultural Extension Center in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands will organize an agricultural extension training class on area codes for growing some key fruits in the Central Highlands for 30 trainees who are agricultural extension officers, agricultural extension staffs and typical farmers of the three provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Gia Lai.

Participating in the training class, trainees are aware of the importance of growing area codes in agricultural production, see how to establish, manage, monitor, and maintain growing area codes and especially see the role of growing area codes of agricultural extension work for propaganda, development and maintenance of local growing area codes.
The management of local growing area codes is an issue of special concern to officials of the Agriculture sector, cooperatives and farmers. Through sharing in the classroom, management agencies need to have appropriate sanctions to maintain and promote growing area codes, avoiding ambiguity between organizations/individuals with codes and those without codes bring fairness to cooperatives and households participating in production to meet the requirements of the issued growing area code.
At the end of the training session, students visited 02 durian farming models in Dak Lak province, including a farming model according to VietGAP standards that is carrying out procedures for granting planting area codes in Ea Yong commune, Krong Pak district and a model that has been granted a growing area code in Tan Lap ward, Buon Ma Thuot city. |
