Prime Minister agreed proposals of Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider and issue development support mechanisms for solar power projects in Vietnam under Decision of Prime Minister.

Prime Minister assigned Ministry of Industry and Trade to strengthen the monitoring supply – electricity need, progress of implementation of projects and electricity grids in the approved master plan to perform, or report to the Prime Minister who allowed implementation of the measures to ensure electricity supply for economic and social development; calculate reasonable power structure, improve power supply reliability and economic efficiency of power systems.

Concurrently, perform the review, assess the effectiveness of mechanisms to support renewable energy sources has been issued by Prime Minister (the mechanism to support the development of wind power, biomass power, power generation using waste solid), reporting to the Prime Minister for consideration and adjustment if necessary.

Prime Minister assigned Vietnam Electricity Group plays a major role in ensuring a stable power supply, safe for the economic - social development; implementation of investment projects under the assigned tasks, investment and development of synchronization power grid improve the efficiency of investment, and research and implement solar power projects in the favorable and potential areas in the offshore islands.
