Sea crossing electrical lines connect the mainland to Lai Son island commune, invested by SPC.

Report of EVNSPC said, more than 600 works, the project were completed in 2016, there were 110 grid works of 110 kV, 509 distribution grid works with 326km of 110kV lines, 1,766 medium-voltage lines, 2,924 km low voltage lines. The total capacity of 110kV stations increased 2,243 MVA and the total capacity of distribution stations was 348 MVA.

Especially, some important key projects were completed, including national power grid project for Lai Son island commune (Kien Giang), completed electric implementation on November 26. The project invested 467 billion VND, with line of 110kV An Bien - Lai Son got 24km across the sea. The project supplied power nearly 2,000 residents live on the island and etc.
