According to the Investment Promotion Center of Binh Dinh province, the last time, the partners of Vietnam proposed to invest in solar energy plant projects in Cat Hiep commune, Phu Cat district, with a capacity of 95MW, land use area of approximately 150 hectares.

Project scope includes the construction of parks and organization of tours, experiences, learning, new technology trend research in renewable energy. Total plant investment is estimated at 4,000 billion VND.

Univergry joint venture said that Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province is perfectly suited to develop solar power plants. Joint ventures will coordinate with Vietnamese partners to deploy investment projects above with modern equipment, high performance in order to provide electricity to the national electricity system.

Reportedly, Binh Dinh provincial leaders supported the project and assigned Department of Planning - Investment in collaboration with Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Industry and Trade, Phu Cat district to guide on procedures for investors.
