Phong Dien Solar Power Plant project has a total capacity of 35 MW, of which the first phase is 5MW (operate in 2018) and the second phase is 30MW (operate in 2019).

The project is connected to the national system according to schedule: phase 1, construction of a 110 kV single-circuit line from Phong Dien Solar Power Plant to 22 kV of Dien Loc 110 kV transformer station, it will operate in 2018.

Phase 2, construction of a 22/110 kV transformer substation at Phong Dien Solar Power Plant with a capacity of 40 MW and 110 kV transmission line connected in the first phase to the 110 kV transformer station of 110 kV Dien Loc transformer station, it will operate in 2019.

Phong Dien Solar Power Plant, invested by Gia Lai Electric Joint Stock Company (GEC), is built on an area of ​​45 hectares in My Hoa hamlet, Dien Loc commune (Phong Dien district).

The project has a total investment of nearly 700 billion VND, electricity output is generated about 50 million kWh per year.

According to the agreement, the reciprocal capital of the investor is 40% and the loan capital of the banks is expected to be 60%, of which: Agribank Thua Thien Hue and Agribank Gia Lai will finance 30% of total investment capital of the project, VDB Thua Thien Hue and VDB Quang Tri will sponsor 30% of total project investment.
