Mr. Chung Van Duc, a farmer in Thanh Phu hamlet, Tan Binh commune, Chau Thanh district, who raised guavas in the area of 1500 m2, he said: American guava variety is very easy to grow, adapts with acid, saline soil, and high resistance. Guava will give fruits within 10-12 months raising, in the second year,  it will get productivity about 100 – 110 kg/year, each fruit weights 700 gr – 1,5 kg.

According to Mr. Duc, this kind of guava has big round side, small inner, a bit sour and brittle taste. Currently, traders looked for this guava variety with the purchase price of 25.000 VND/kg, in inverse season, the price can reach to 35.000 VND/kg, and increase a double compared to native guava. Subtracting all expenses, with 1500 m2, annually he gets income about 60 - 65 million VND.
