Custard apple has been growing well in Dong Trieu, gives tasty fruit. So far, it has become the main economic crops in Dong Trieu, enriched many households in Viet Dan, Tan Viet, An Sinh commune. With total cultivation area of 900 hectares, Dong Trieu custard-apples offered billions VND every year.

In recent years, thank to training techniques, particularly cultivating process which made custard apple’s yield to be significantly increased, the average crop yield is about 12-15 tons/ha.

To develop a sustainable way of growing custard apples, enhancing creditability and reputation in the market, on July 24, 2012, Quang Ninh People’s committee approved the project “ establishing, managing and developing Dong Trieu custard-apples in Dong Trieu district, Quang Ninh province.” With contents as follows: planning custard-apple cultivation region; creating, managing collective brand of Dong Trieu custard-apple; developing markets, training human resource and etc.
