Tay Ninh has been aiming to develop modern and sustainable agriculture in the future. Therefore, agricultural models and methods that bring economic efficiency as well as minimize problems harmful to the environment and health are of great concern. However, developing clean agriculture and applying high technology in Tay Ninh province still has difficulties and challenges. Therefore, training and fostering through learning and referencing new, highly effective models of other provinces and cities for officials and farmers in the province is very necessary. Tay Ninh Agricultural Extension Center officials assess that Lam Dong has long been famous for finding, building and developing new production methods as well as having many achievements in applying high technology to agricultural production.

Therefore, on March 14-15, 2024, Tay Ninh Agricultural Extension Center organized an experience learning group in Lam Dong province to learn directly from some models here. The delegation consisted of 29 people, including Mr. Nguyen Van Mai - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Ha Thanh Tung - Director of the Agricultural Extension Center, along with a number of good production officials and farmers in the province.

The delegation visited two typical models of Lam Dong province that can be applied in Tay Ninh: the model of using natural enemies in crop cultivation of Mai Khoi Farm Limited Company and the high-tech agricultural model of Da Lat GAP company, Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province.

Mai Khoi FarmLimited Company in Lac Duong district currently has a high-tech agricultural production farm of approximately 30 hectares with dozens of hectares of greenhouse cultivation; mainly growing bell peppers, gerberas, cherry tomatoes, and etc. The model applies care processes according to VietGAP standards and will try to raise GlobalGAP standards in the near future.

Through the experiential learning trip in Lam Dong province, members of the delegation learned and gained more knowledge and practical experiences on the application of natural enemies and the application of high technologies in agricultural production. Thence, it is possible to select and apply appropriate models in the province, bringing products that ensure quality, protect the environment, consumer health as well as improve family economic development, towards sustainable agriculture in the future.
