To hand over 630 Vinh Hoa fragrant mango seeds

Within the project’s framework “Recovery and development of Vinh Hoa fragrant mango varieties in Vinh Hoa, Tan Chau, An Giang” (hosted by Can Tho University, lead by Pro. Nguyen Bao ve); on December 24, 2013, at Vinh Hoa People’s Committee, Tan Chau town, Mr. Nguyen Hong Phu on behalf of research team, handed over 630 fragrant mangoes varieties for 9 households in Vinh Hoa commune.

The current state of seeding: normal development and without pests. These mango varieties are produced by Vinh Hoa native fragrant mango which An Giang DARD approved in Vinh Hoa commune.
Mrs. Phung Thi Tuyet, Vice chairman of Vinh Hoa People’s Committee said: Vinh Hoa fragrant mango has been well-received by local people because this is specialty of Vinh Hoa Commune, the mango can give the polished and tasty fruits that only if they are planted in Vinh Hoa soil, helping to attract traders everywhere. The previous mango garden in Vinh Hoa with uneven development and low productivity.
With hopes to expand mango growing area in Vinh Hoa, create major production area for the whole province and take part in rising income for farmers, the recovery of Vinh Hoa fragrant mango is a very meaningful project.
