Application of information technology on agricultural products to bring high efficiency.
Sharing this issue, Mr. Tran Quang Cuong, CEO of Nextfarm, said that the current forecast of agricultural products in Vietnam has not been applied technology to handle so it is still mainly forecast by experiences.
In some countries with agricultural industries such as Australia, they not only apply technology to forecast production of agricultural products but also to forecast market demand and at the same time meet this demand well. A farm they can know the demand for agricultural products sold by a supermarket they provide to supermarkets, avoid oversupply or shortage of agricultural products.
In Vietnam, for example, lychee products in Luc Ngan, Thanh Long in Binh Thuan, if the application of predictive processing technology is good, the government and the people will know the exact output that year how much, then have enough time to plan to consume the product.
Therefore, Mr. Cuong said that the problem of applying technology to forecast agricultural production is extremely practical, but no party has done it. Therefore, sometimes we see a resurgence in rescuing agricultural products, such as watermelon, sweet potato, ginger, dragon fruit etc. It is the result of not predicting the output of agricultural products for each crop. |
