A young farmer created remote insecticide spray machine

Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan was born in a farmer family, after getting married, he lives in Trung Nhi hamlet, Vinh Trach commune, Thoai Son district, An Giang province, has been inherited 1 hectare of rice planting land from his family.

Noticing the hard work and hazardous potential in spraying task, in 2010, Mr. Tuan began to research remote insecticide spray machine.
After three times failed, up to 2013, Mr. Tuan had successfully created remote insecticide spray machine.
The insecticide spray machine was created by Mr. Tuan, is a compact device which weights about 130 Kg, moving by chain wheels and featured with 120 litters tank, spraying in a radius of 10 m. When moving, it will stay away from rice-crushing and mud-sinking, the device has capacity of 10 hectares/day which is equivalent to 6 manual sprayers.
Apart from remote control function, farmers can ride on top of the device – in order to keep away from insecticide.
According to Mr. Tuan, now he can produce two models of spraying machine with the price of 29 – 32 million VND. After his achievements, he was invited to attend to technical innovation contest in Ho Chi Minh city by Ministry of Science and Technology and he won consolation prize.
In November 2013, Mr. Tuan took part in Mekong Delta Economic Cooperation (MDEC) in Vinh Long for product introduction. He also received a contract to provide two machines from Laos on this occasion.
