Application of immune cells in the cancer treatment in Vietnam
The team of scientists from the Hanoi Medical University deployed applications of immune cell therapy in the cancer treatment of experts from Japan.

According to Professor Ta Thanh Van, Deputy Head of Hanoi Medical University, implemented study, in Japan, advanced treatment methods have been implemented for 10 years in some specialty health care facilities.

Of the nearly 10,000 cancer patients (kidney, lung, stomach, liver and etc), most of cancer patients in later stage, the tumor spread, was treated at the Japanese hospital, but it didn’t record any complications or side effects.

Immune cell therapy in cancer treatment is the method to restore the immune balance in a patient's body, restore and enhance the number and function of immune cells to increase the ability to destroy the cancer cell.

With this therapy, the patient will be taken (about 10-30 ml of peripheral blood) to isolate immune cells, culture and activate specialized functions of these cells in a special environment.

After having a sufficient number and obtaining the desired functions (functions to identify and destroy cancer cells), immune cells were infused back into the patient’s body, created immune defenses strong enough to against these cancer cells.
