Attending the workshop, there were delegates including: Dr. Le Xuan Rao - Chairman of Hanoi Union of Science and Technology Associations; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoai - Director of the Vietnam Institute of Artificial Intelligence; Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Founding Director of LANCS Vietnam Technology Joint Stock Company; Mr. Ho Minh Duc - General Director of VBEE Data Solutions and Services Joint Stock Company; Dr. Dang Duc Mai - Chairman of Hanoi Association of Informatics and Telecommunications and representatives of other units.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Dr. Le Xuan Rao - Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Science and Technology Associations said: "Currently, Vietnam has made a strong development step, becomes an integrated, dynamic and attractive economy for investment in the region and the world. In the context of international development and integration, along with the strong development of the industrial revolution 4.0, Vietnam has determined to focus on developing artificial intelligence (AI) technology as a spearhead. It is expected it will become the most disruptive technology industry in the next 10 years.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoai - Director of the Vietnam Institute of Artificial Intelligence shared: Currently, there are 2 types of AI, namely general AI and specific AI. Accordingly, general AI for the purpose of building robots, AI programs can become a new kind of self-aware, cognitive emotions that compete with humans; Specific artificial intelligence: simulation of some human behaviors, such as face recognition, sound recognition, text transfer and etc. AI has now changed the world, many AI systems have equaled and surpassed human. In the last eight years, AI has been applied in all aspects of life, completely changing the way of social and institutional governance. 60 countries have developed a national AI development strategy, and Vietnam has also issued a National Strategy on AI research, development and application by 2030, aiming to make Vietnam an innovation hub and developing AI solutions and applications in the ASEAN region and the world.
