Quang Nam: Handed over a rare seal for Oceanographic Research Institute

In the morning of August 17, exchanging reporters of Discovery newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Chairman of Tam Thanh People’s Committee, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam province) said that local authorities handed over a seal for Nha Trang Oceanographic Research Institute to put into service visiting.

According to Mr. Binh, previously in the afternoon of August 15, Tam Thanh coast rescue group (Tam Thanh commune) found a seal is struggling near coastal area. After the seal is caught, the authority and people pumped sea water into a basket and it is feed at Mr. Nguyen Van Thao (a member of rescue group).
The local government handed over the seal for Nha Trang Oceanography Research Institute to put into service visit.
After reporting the incident to superiors, Tam Thanh Commune People's Committee received a direction document of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requesting to hand over the rare seal to Nha Trang Oceanography Research Institute. Oceanography Research Institute assigned staffs to go to locality to receive the seal for visiting. |
