Ho Chi Minh City launched green tree growing family program
On March 13, at Historic, Cultural and Ethnic Park (District 9, Ho Chi Minh city) Ho Chi Minh City Youth Center for Social Work cooperated with a number of units to organize tree growing family Program.

This is one of the programs in the series of activities aimed to celebrate 84 establishment years of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Hung Vuong's death anniversary, the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the South, national reunification Day (4 /30/ 1975- 4/30/2015).

During this period, more than 130 green trees were planted by 200 volunteers and 31 households at Ho Chi Minh city Historic, Cultural and Ethnic Park.

The program will be implemented so far to 2017 with the goal of planting 1,500 green trees here. The trees are planted the flowers, red wood, sandalwood, lagerstroemia, oil trees and etc.

Board of organization said the program was organized in the form of movement of households, members to raise awareness and participation responsibilities of young people in the annual movement of planting, taking care and protecting trees, contribute to the protection of ecological environment and increase beauty the urban landscape.

Thereby, the program increased awareness, roles, responsibilities and mobilization of community in the protection of the environment, response to climate change to make a positive change in perception and environmental protection activities, establishment of cultural life in the family,  contribute to building the image of civilized, clean and modern city.
