Before abnormal changes of weather, Binh Thuan province deployed many measures to fight climate change, especially coastal forest cultivation project for the period 2015 to 2020.
Prime Minister approved a list of technical support project for "Innovation Center to cope with Vietnam climate change (VCIC)". The project was provided non-refundable aid by World Bank (WB). Ministry of Science and Technology is project mangement agency.
Interdisciplinary working delegation includes representives of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Planning - Investment and Ministry of Finance had a survey of project for planting, restoration of coastal mangrove frests in the provinces, such as Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang. This is an activity within the framework of the National Target Program of responding to climate change.
It is estimated the first annual report on climate change will be released on mid June, 2016 in Vietnam.
Project for "Building disaster adaptation society (period II)", Japanese experts have applied traditional methods from their own countries in disaster prevention in provinces of Vietnam. In which, reinforcement technologies of river banks with "small size / low cost" are being implemented in two provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.
In the morning, March 26, 2015, Event of Can Tho Youth Festival responded to Earth Hour 2015, took place at Luu Huu Phuoc park, Can Tho city. This is an activity to welcome formation day of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union March 26 and respond Earth Hour Campaign 2015 with the topic "Energy saving and responding to climate change".
On March 20, in Hanoi, General Political Department held a closing ceremony to award Photo Contest "Army with environment protection tasks, mitigation of climate change" in 2014. Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Vice Chairman of GPD, presided the ceremony.
On March 13, at Historic, Cultural and Ethnic Park (District 9, Ho Chi Minh city) Ho Chi Minh City Youth Center for Social Work cooperated with a number of units to organize tree growing family Program.
Institute for South Fishery Resources Planning launched three irrigation works in three heavy flooding cities of Mekong Delta due to climate change, such as Can Tho, Vinh Long and Ca Mau.
Recently, Ministry of Trade and Industry responded Earth Hour Campaign (EHC) 2015 with the topic "energy conservation response to climate change" with the support of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam.
