The Mekong Delta (MRD) possesses high biodiversity with more than 500 species of fish. Among them, Siluriformes, also known as the pangasius, is a very diverse set of fish in the bony fish group. This set of fish is important in the development of the fisheries economy with many species raised on a large scale to provide food fish.
